Bonjour, and welcome to what I hope is an eclectic mix of French content that reflects my day to day encounters with news, commentary and learning materials, mainly from a variety of francophone sources that I follow on social media.

My book republished
I've published a revision to my book
I've recently returned from a holiday in France where for two of the three weeks I attended a morning French course run by a charming French woman who, although now long retired, had taught French in England throughout her working life.

Her attention to the minutia of the French language was quite amazing as nine of us tried to take it all in. We each were required to make a short presentation, in French of course, and I chose the subject of my book. She was fascinated by my endeavour and over two evenings read the the book. This resulted in some very valuable feedback, as well as revealing a few errors that were, let's say, a bit embarrassing.

I have now incorporated her suggestions into the book and, of course, corrected the mistakes. As expected, republishing was a bit of a trial, first on Amazon, and then on Apple Books. I had forgotten some of what I learned when I first published the book, and in the case of Apple an update to the Pages application had actually changed the process significantly.

But it's now done, and Version 2 is available.

For anybody who has already bought the book you can download a summary of the latest revisions here.
